CourtBrain raises €100,000 in first investment round

CourtBrain has completed its first investment round, raising €100,000 to continue developing the platform from beta towards a full public launch.

The round was structured as an early friends and family investment, backed by a group of passionate angel investors who believe in CourtBrain’s vision for a more open and connected racket-sport ecosystem.

The investment was completed while CourtBrain was still in beta. For the team, that makes the round especially meaningful. At this stage, the company was not yet officially launched, but the core idea was already clear: players need a simpler way to discover where to play, and clubs need better visibility across a fragmented market.

“Daring to invest in a business that has not fully launched yet, and to back change in a traditional industry, is both bold and admirable. We are incredibly grateful to have early supporters who believe in what we are building and who give us the confidence to keep moving forward,” said Hans Villanueva, CEO and Co-Founder of CourtBrain.

Building before launch

The capital will support the continued development of CourtBrain’s product, technology and go-to-market foundation.

CourtBrain is building a discovery layer for racket sports, designed to help players search across clubs, locations and booking systems without replacing the infrastructure already used by venues. The ambition is to make it easier for players to find courts and clubs, while helping clubs become more visible to high-intent players.

Raising external capital before a full public launch is an important signal of confidence in that ambition.

At beta stage, much of the work is still invisible from the outside. Product flows need to be tested, data quality needs to improve, integrations need to be refined and the user experience needs to become strong enough for broader adoption. The investment gives CourtBrain more room to build properly before putting heavier effort behind marketing and expansion.

Backing an early vision

CourtBrain’s first investors are backing more than a product. They are backing the idea that racket-sport discovery will become an increasingly important part of the market as the number of clubs, courts, booking platforms and player communities continues to grow.

In many markets, the player journey is already fragmented. Players discover clubs through local knowledge, social groups, booking platforms, club websites or word of mouth. That can work in a small market, but as the ecosystem grows, discovery becomes harder and more important.

CourtBrain is being built to solve that problem through a neutral platform that sits above the existing booking infrastructure.

The goal is not to replace club systems or booking platforms. The goal is to make the ecosystem easier to navigate.

From beta to a full product

The investment will help CourtBrain take the next step from early beta towards a fuller version of the platform that can be launched, marketed and scaled.

That includes improving the player-facing experience, strengthening the club layer, developing the technical foundation and preparing the company for broader market activity.

The round was completed with legal support from MAQS Advokatbyrå.

For CourtBrain, this first round is an important milestone. It gives the company the opportunity to move from concept and beta validation towards a more complete product with clearer commercial potential.

The team is especially proud to have secured this support at such an early stage. It reflects trust in the direction of the company, the size of the opportunity and the need for a better discovery layer in racket sports.

CourtBrain will continue developing the platform with the same core mission:

Search once. Play anywhere.
