About the club

Gimle Ballklubb is situated at the sports complex in Gimle and is managed by a volunteer association in partnership with the local municipality, which owns the facility. The club features one of the region’s premier clay courts, offering players an authentic experience on this traditional surface. Maintaining the court requires ongoing community effort and regular upkeep throughout the season to ensure optimal playing conditions. Members enjoy the benefit of reserving the court for up to two hours at no additional cost, while non-members can rent the court by the hour. Players are encouraged to use appropriate footwear designed for clay surfaces and to follow recommended care practices such as watering the court before use, filling any holes promptly, and grooming the surface after play. Revenue generated supports the purchase of materials and equipment needed to maintain and improve the facility, fostering a welcoming environment for tennis enthusiasts and community gatherings.
